Natural Acne Treatment

Acne or acne vulgaris is the most common skin disease affecting teenagers and adults alike. Treatments for acne are multiple but not all acne products are effective. Traditionally, the use of natural acne treatment has had the most effective results. The natural methods are developed from herbs and plants available worldwide and then commercially marketed. Some of these natural treatments are as follows:

1. Tea Tree Oil – Helps to reduce oil content /natural oil production in skin. Easily available in Pharmacies and Health Shops. Also available in cosmetics mode as blemish skin treatment.

2. Olive Leaf Extract – The olive extract from leaves helps to remedy acne breakouts. Used since the time of Greek civilization, olive leaf extract is the main source of ingredient in natural acne removal products.

3. Licorice Root – This herb has anti–inflammatory properties that help to cure acne growth. The root is excessively used in medicinal products and cosmetic manufacturing.

4. Aloe Vera – The medicinal properties of Aloe Vera include immune boosting and an anti–inflammation property. It soothes the skin and cures growth of acne and is also good for removing scars. Intake of Aloe Vera can be in the form of raw juice, ointments, creams, lotions, capsules, tablets etc.

Apart from the intake of these 4 basic natural treatment herbs, the need to keep a control over diet and stress is also recommended. Oily food intake increases the production of natural oil, which accelerates acne growth. In fact, stress is a major contributor for acne. Stress cannot be rooted out from modern lifestyle, therefore, the need is to control stress levels and lead a healthier lifestyle.
